Remember that mixed media art I promised I would have you? Well I should have that painting finished by the end of the day. I have to finish it up with some Mod Podge.

Pine Cones

As I was driving my daughter to School today I noticed there was a lot of pine cones laying beneath the big pine trees. My sister in law is the custodian there. I think I will ask if I can get some. I think they might come in handy for a craft idea. Anybody got any suggestion for them?

Mixed Art Media

I have always loved it. But have never tried it. That is until now. This week that is what I am going to play with. I am going to "Make Art".. I am excited about doing it. I just got to get some ideas flowing. I want to make something pretty. Something so pretty someone would like to hang it on their daughter's, mother's, sister's, aunt's, grandmother's, friend's or even their own wall. So stay tuned this week I hope to have something to show you.

My Brother's Drafting Table

My twin brother Charles brought me our brother Chris's drafting table to me today. Chris passed away a couple years ago. My twin had purchased  it at an auction. I was so excited today when he said that I could have it. He said he knew I was doing all the art in the family. So it should be mine. It originally came from Florida..

Abby And I Are Entering The Fair

My daughter Abby and I are entering the Fair this year. We took these old brown picture frames and painted them white. She is entering one of my favorite paintings she did. Which amazes me that at 7years old she did such a wonderful job. She is entering "The Lillypad".. I am in two categories abstract and acrylic painting. I know which abstract I am entering but not the other. The abstract painting is called "This loves on Fire"..

Paint On Face

Have you ever walked out your house with paint on your face? I bet you have several times. I walked around a long time before I even knew I had paint going down the side of my face. Not only did I have paint on my face but it was black. I looked like I had sideburns. You always see in movies where men will be caught with something a women wears. Like the movie I watched last night Furry Vengeance. It was hysterical which makes me laugh to think I was walking around with black sideburns. lol

Good Morning everyone. This is a start to my page. I look forward in bringing you my artwork. Recently I went through a life changing advent. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy. The fears before hand were worse than the actual surgery. I am feeling so much better now. I have to get back to work cause the bills are coming in. Don't ya just love when that happens? ugh, right? :)
As I took my daughter to School this morning the air was crisp and you could tell Fall is right around the corner. I love everything about fall. The colors of the trees and the smells of all the good food that come along with it.
